In contrast to our Pilgrim friends, we had warm Christmas, lots of good food, and presents to boot. So, girls, what were your favorite Christmas presents this year? Here’s my top five:
1. The ESV Journaling Bible
2. Your Home A Place of Grace by Susan Hunt
3. By Design by Susan Hunt
4. Normal Kingdom Business by Andree Seu
5. Espresso and Cappuccino Maker
Husband got John Adams by David McCullough—the audio version! Time-manager people love those!
For Dad, we got him Amazing Grace, the History &Theology of Calvinism (DVD). This was an amazingly done video, featuring speakers such as R.C. Sproul, James Kennedy, and George Grant. DO watch this if you are a non-Calvinist, wanting to be persuaded. DO NOT watch if you are looking for a fair & balanced presentation. After it was over, I was left with the distinct impression that Arminian ideology caused 9/11
For the kids, we didn’t get them anything. Why should we, when they have grandparents who get them this? Believe it or not, they got two of these! What could have been a bitter grandparent feud ended peacefully, with my parents taking theirs back. It’s really sad when your 4-yr. old’s car is nicer than your own. Maybe he’ll let me borrow it.
Sounds like someone likes to read!!
Daniel surprised me this Christmas with BOSE speakers for my music station!! My music station is comprised of a digital piano with MIDI connection to computer that has music composing, publishing, and recording software on it. Now I can hear stereo quality everything that I’m working on and can even substite a Steinway B sound through the BOSE speakers for my lesser quality digital piano speakers! That is my ultimate favorite Christmas gift this year.
