My observation is that many young parents are befuddled about parenting becasue they have never been parented or, worse still, have been parented destructively. many are from broken homes. Many are first-generation Christians who became believers through high school or college ministries. They were mothered by a generation of women who bought the feminist lie that mothering is unfulfilling and unimportant. It seems to me that there is a fraility and immaturity about this generation of parents that is a backwash of feminism. But I am greatly encouraged because they also have an intense desire to do it right. They are not looking for a quick fix. They are looking for the forgotten path. The path is forgotten because God is forgotten “Because My people have forgotten Me, they have burned incense to worthless idols. And they have caused themselves to stumble in their way, from the ancient paths, to walk in pathways and not on a highway” (Jeremiah 18:15 NKJV).
